The Olympic Stadium

Opposite our Baker’s Café on Stadionplein is, of course, the famous Olympic Stadium.

In 1928, the Olympic Games were held here, with the stadium as the heart of the event. Ajax football club also played its home matches here for many years, making the stadium an iconic spot for both sports fans and local residents. After a period of renovation, it was reopened in 2000 and designated a national monument.

After breakfast or lunch with us, you can take a walk in the neighborhood and enjoy the impressive building and the atmosphere of Stadionplein. The combination of modern café comfort and historic surroundings makes this a great stop in Amsterdam Zuid.
