Vlaamsch Broodhuys bakes the way master chefs do; with quality ingredients, culinary passion and years of experience. Dimitri Roels and his bakers have been baking nutritious, delicious sourdough bread since 1966. With success, because no one can resist the smell of this exceptional bread. Fine bread brings people together and has become an essential part of our bread culture.

Dimitri

Dimitri Roels is the son of a Belgian father and a Dutch mother. He already knew in primary school that he wanted to be a baker and at a young age, started laying the foundation for his ambitious baker’s career. Having travelled a long road from student to pioneer, he is now at the helm of Vlaamsch Broodhuys with undiminished energy. An experienced baker with a clear mission.

Diante

Diante Roels was born in Tilburg, where she also attended Hotel Management School. During her studies, it was apparent that Diante possessed strong organisational skills. With her inexhaustible work ethic, she and Dimitri brought about the birth of Vlaamsch Broodhuys where soon, three flour-covered baker’s sons crawled around the bakery. She was able to put her organisational skills to good use...
